The modern design aesthetic of the client, recently relocated from Minneapolis, inspired this waterfront home. Design features include intentional day lighting and passive ventilation via expansive windows and exterior pocket doors, an interior walnut and maple trellis, and a floating three-level stair. Renewable energy systems include geothermal heating and cooling along with solar thermal water heating. Water stewardship strategies include rainwater harvesting and extensive use of native plants integrated into dry streambeds.
